imageHello Friends,

Update regarding ongoing health issues. I wish I was providing more positive news. I have unfortunately had another stroke making my typing abilities nearly impossible.

My low energy and endurance is negatively affecting my cognitive abilities for planning.

But I still seem bright and am hopeful I can conduct a Zoom session after some restful days. I can still talk to you and will schedule that soon.

I feel your loving support and appreciate it very much.

Your guide to planetary energies for

April 28 to May 4, 2025

by Astrologer Pam Younghans

THE PLUTO EFFECT: Although the confrontational Mars-Pluto opposition is technically behind us (exact on April 26), its effects linger throughout the next two weeks, at minimum. This is in part because the tension-filled aspect is strongly woven into the tapestry of the new lunar cycle that began on April 27. It is also because Pluto's transformational influence is elevated this week and next, due to the dwarf planet being virtually at a standstill as it prepares to go retrograde next Sunday, May 4.

When a planet is retrograde, it is actually closer to the Earth than it is at other times in its orbit and thus may affect us more deeply. Therefore, we are likely to experience Pluto's powerful life-changing effects even more profoundly than usual not only this week, but throughout Pluto's retrograde period (May 4 to October 13).

Pluto is the Great Revealer, exposing secrets and illuminating the shadow. As the Psychotherapist Planet, it brings to the surface issues and emotions that have been suppressed or repressed. Its task is to reveal true motivations, especially those that are of a lower vibration. By helping us become conscious of the dysfunctional patterns or fears that have been controlling us from behind the scenes, it enables us to step more fully into our personal power.

As the mythic god of the Underworld, Pluto also takes us through a process of death and rebirth. It dismantles that which is no longer viable and initiates a process of transfiguration, with an eventual emergence into new form. On a collective level, since Pluto is now in progressive Aquarius, this retrograde phase will be focused on tearing down outdated, divisive social systems and hierarchical power structures. This process of deconstruction will likely strengthen once revolutionary Uranus enters Gemini on July 7 and begins its three-year trine to Pluto.

ASPECTS THIS WEEK: Here are my brief interpretations of this week's most important individual planetary aspects, day by day:

Monday

No major aspects are exact today

Tuesday

No major aspects are exact today

Wednesday

Venus enters Aries: While Venus is in the sign of the Ram, from April 30 to June 6, we are drawn to new and exciting relationships, creative activities, and financial investments. We may have less patience for delays, could become easily bored with routine, and might fall in love quickly or spend money impulsively.

Thursday

Uranus sextile North Node: This aspect helps us be open to insights, new technologies, and higher-vibrational energies. Intuition is more easily accessed and paranormal experiences are possible.

Friday

Venus conjunct Neptune: We are sensitive, understanding, and empathetic as the planets of the human heart and the high heart align. The creative imagination is heightened. Overall, the outlook is romantic and idealistic, so our skills of discernment may not be strong and we could be too easily influenced by others.

Sun semisquare Saturn: This aspect, while it may feel heavy or pessimistic, can also help us maintain a more realistic attitude today.

Saturday

Mars semisquare Jupiter: People may be especially dramatic or reactive and tend to act impulsively. A war of words is possible, especially over morals or ethics.

Sunday

Pluto stations retrograde: Pluto's influence is especially strong now, as it comes to standstill at 03°49' Aquarius. Those who have natal planets or points between 2 and 5 degrees of a fixed sign (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius) are likely to feel Pluto's transformational and empowering influence most directly now. The dwarf planet will be retrograde until it stations direct on October 13.

IF YOUR BIRTHDAY IS THIS WEEK: This could be a very transformational year for you, as you get in touch with deep emotions and unfamiliar aspects of your being that challenge your previous self-concepts. At the same time, your innate Taurus caution could stubbornly resist the changes that are underway. Throughout the year, you build a stronger sense of self-reliance, self-discipline, and ultimately self-worth as you take on and fulfill certain goals and responsibilities. (Solar Return Sun square Mars, semisquare Saturn, square Pluto)
