Hello Darlings!

I loved hearing about all of your pets and the fun stuff you've been up to this summer. While this isn't pet-related, I did get up early this morning to go see the BARBIE movie with my husband, Jack!

I LOVED IT.

I have to be honest. As a kid, Barbies were never my favorite toy. I loved baby dolls and dollhouses, but I still had and played with a few Barbie dolls, including the mermaid ones!

One of my favorite things about this movie was seeing all of the incredible outfits. It really made me want to fancy up my wardrobe a little bit. In fact, I think tomorrow, I'll go visit some local thrift shops and see what kind of cool stuff I can find to spruce things up. Who knows? At my next book signing, you might not even recognize me!

Speaking of book signings - if you're in the Kansas City area, I will be signing at RomanceGenrecon NEXT WEEKEND. I'll also be at Romance Rendezvous Book Blast in Cedar Falls, Iowa, later in August.

Anyway, I thought the Barbie movie was really fun. I loved all of the different retro throwbacks and I loved the main characters. I think President Barbie was probably my favorite, but the whole cast really went all out. :)
