Hello Darlings!

Have you ever found kittens? I've been watching a lot of TikTok and Reels lately and have seen SO MANY PEOPLE finding kittens in the wild! I've never found a kitten in the wild, but I have adopted four cats from my local animal shelter. Two of them were abandoned and two of them were surrendered to the shelter.

Echo is probably the cat I'm closest to. He's my black cat with a white patch. He was actually born in the parking lot of an animal shelter and then I provided foster care to him before adopting him. One thing I found interesting is that when I adopted him, the animal shelter made me promise not to force Echo to earn his keep.

I asked them what they meant, and the shelter worker told me that I can't force him to catch mice! Apparently, because it was a country shelter, sometimes people would surrender cats because they didn't catch enough barn mice! I reassured the worker that it was no problem. Echo is going to live a life of luxury as an indoor, non-mice-catching cat!
