Dear ,
It is hard to believe that we are already into the second month of 2026! This year has already been eventful, but before we tell you about that, we have a special prayer request for today. We started Winter Camp on Saturday, and today is the day we will be sharing the Gospel and giving the campers an opportunity to be saved. Please pray for Seth as he shares tonight!
We also want to briefly share what this year has been like for us. On January 2, Seth was not feeling well, so he went to the hospital and found out that he had pneumonia. Many of you heard about this and have been praying for him, and we are very thankful for that. The first week was hard because Seth was very tired and had a fever every day, but he has been getting better since then.
Here are some thoughts that I (Seth) wrote down during this time:
God has been teaching me through this time that He is in control and that He loves me, so He allowed this to happen at this time. We planned ahead of time that we would not have English4Life this winter, and I did not plan to spend this time being sick—but God knew.
The biggest thing that I have learned is about prayer. Before this happened, I was praying about one specific thing, and I see now that this sickness was God’s answer to that prayer.
Sometimes I think that I do not need others to pray for me, but I have been reminded that we all need others to pray for us. Thank you for praying for me and for those who asked how I was doing. It truly was a blessing to me.
When I was lying in bed because I did not have the energy to do anything, I was reminded that there were three things I could do: pray, remember Scripture, and remember Christian songs. These things helped me during this time. I am also thankful that my sickness was not very severe. I did not have much coughing and felt okay as long as I did not try to do too much.
Another blessing was that Dina’s parents came for a visit, arriving on the same day that I got sick. We had planned to visit some places and do things with them, but they ended up helping us instead. Dina’s dad even stayed three more weeks to help as I recovered. A big thanks to them for all of their help!
Once again, thank you for praying for me. If you have a need, do not be afraid to share it so that we, as a church, can pray for you. If you hear of someone’s need, pray for them and let them know that you are praying. We are the body of Christ, and this is one way we can grow closer together.
Thank you for being a part of our ministry!
