Springs Ensemble Theatre Presents:
The Shark Is Broken by Ian Shaw and Joseph Nixon
August 28 to September 14 at the Fifty-Niner Speakeasy
Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the theater, SET opens its 16th season with a hit comedy about the chaos behind the making of Jaws.
The Shark Is Broken takes place aboard the set of the 1975 blockbuster, where three actors are stranded at sea with a faulty mechanical shark, bad weather, and worse tempers. The result is a hilarious, poignant look at ego, legacy, and accidental genius.
Directed by Tim Muldrew and starring Steve Emily, Colin Gregory, and Matt Radcliffe, The Shark Is Broken invites you into the boat, into the moment, and into a story about how art gets made, whether it’s ready or not.
