The countdown begins. One week from tonight, SET premieres R.U.R., the play that gave the world the word “robot.”
November 6–23 at the Fifty-Niner Speakeasy
Written more than a century ago, R.U.R. imagined the birth of artificial workers and their rebellion against humankind. Today, it reads like prophecy.
Adapted and directed by Matt Phillips, this bold new version brings urgency, humanity, and local artistry to a global story.
