I shared a social-media-safe version of the new art during my Facebook reader group birthday party last week, but I’ve included the uncensored version below. It's got a whole lot of size difference and some naked lady parts. Keep reading to the end to see the full image!

But first, a little unedited snippet from Seduced by Starlight, my current work-in-progress that launches June 28!

A little context: in this scene, Tamira has been accidentally exposed to tantu powder, a powerful aphrodisiac. She comes on strong to Fenix, but when he realizes she’s under the influence, he backs off…much to her dismay. 😉

“You’re going to leave me like this?” I complain, squeezing my thighs together so I can get some kind of stimulation. The want twisting me up feels like torture.

His breath harshes out, and I feel his fingers squeeze a little tighter around my wrists. “You will love me more tomorrow if I can resist you tonight.”

Tears slip down my cheeks into my ears, so I turn my head to hide them in the cushion on his lap. I’m wound so tight that everything aches—my muscles, my clit, my throat, even my jaw because it’s clenching so hard. I know I shouldn’t beg, that it makes me look pitiful and weak. He’s so controlled and I’m a disaster. A messy, weeping, wet, whiny disaster.

“I won’t love you more. I hate you for making me like this,” I sob. “I want to be strong.”

“You are strong,” Fen murmurs, stroking my hair. “The strongest. Who escaped the Frathiks? Only you. Who makes a rainbow whenever they wish? Only you, Tama. Who denied the pleasure king, who has never before been denied? Only you.”

I can’t help laughing a little at that. I roll onto my back so I can look up at him. “Really, nobody has ever said no to you?”

Something dark flickers over his face so quickly I almost miss it, but then it’s eclipsed by a cheeky grin. “Who would turn me down? I’m wealthy. Powerful. Extremely handsome. Talented in providing pleasure to dozens of species. Not to mention I have an excellent sense of humor.” His voice drops, teasing in its tone, as he ticks off the traits on his claws, and the low rumble wakes up my greedy lady parts again.

“If you’re not going to touch me, at least let my hands go so I can touch myself,” I beg. Above me, Fen’s cloudy, gray eyes swirl as he considers my request. “Please?”

A ragged sigh slips out of him. “I can deny you nothing. But promise me that you’ll be a good girl and keep your hands to yourself. It takes every measure of my self-control to hold you like this when I can smell your need.”

“You can…smell me? When I’m turned on?”

His eyes close. “Yes. Every time.”

A shattering bolt of lust pierces through me when I realize what that means. He knows what he does to me. Every time I’ve had those tingles when he touched me, however platonically…he knew. “Then you know that I want this! It’s not just the berry stuff making me feel this way. I want you. Let me go, Fen.” I twist my wrists in his grip, the friction sparking straight to my core.

“If you touch me, I can’t promise restraint,” he warns, eyes flicking open again to pin me down with a hot stare.

I shiver, and it isn’t due to fear. “What if I don’t want you restrained? What if I want you out of control?”

“Tama,” he breathes, leaning over me to brush a kiss on my temple, and I revel in the feeling of his thighs flexing underneath the cushion that separates us.

“What is a lover without control? Seduction begins with desire, not consummation. Today I won’t touch your body, and you won’t touch mine. But our minds can touch. Maybe our hearts, if I have my way.”

“Very pretty words, but your poetry isn’t licking my pussy,” I pout, and he barks a delighted laugh. And for a brief second, it feels better than any tongue.
