Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who purchased, borrowed, and reviewed Saved by Starlight this week! I am so grateful for your support of my villain era.
I loved this quote from one reviewer:
“When Lyro meets Lena and discovers she’s his fated mate, it’s like leaving him in a meadow full of wildflowers. He doesn’t know if he’s going to enjoy the scenery or burn the entire field.”
SO ACCURATE! 😂 Lyro comments at one point that he can withstand torture, but he’s not sure he can withstand happiness, and that was my goal for the book: to give him the worst punishment of all…someone who insists on loving him when he believes himself to be deeply unlovable.
He struggles against it so hard, but Lena never breaks. As she puts it, she’s more of the bendy type.

A laugh bursts out of me, and I tug on her hair in reprimand. “My sake?! What about your sake? You’d be dead.”
“Exactly. You’re the one who’d have to live with it.”
I wrap her hair around my fist, squeezing and lifting until she’s on her tiptoes, mouth slack and lashes fluttering, scent of her greedy little cunt pouring out of her. She likes this, too, likes all the things about me that she shouldn’t.
“Wicked, wise, weird little female,” I hiss at her, bending so my lips are just a breath from hers. “You think I would remain among the living if you were not there with me?”
