New character art ❤️ and big audiobook news! 🎧

Hi !
How are you doing?
You know, sometimes things don’t work out exactly the way you plan, and that’s okay. For example, sometimes you don’t have a cover reveal ready to send out in your newsletter, so you push it to next week. 😅
Or sometimes the art piece you worked on while you were writing your book doesn't turn out great, but you share it anyway. 😅😅
Or sometimes your dragon boyfriend shifts and ruins his clothes, so he has to borrow yours. They’re way too small, but he wears them in public because he really wants to take you on a picnic. 😅😅😅
This little doodle of Zed and Cari was one I did while I was writing There’s Something About Dragons. It didn't turn out quite as I wanted it to and I kinda-sorta abandoned it mid-drawing, but I do love a monster-boyfriend-as-mattress scene. If you do, too, I think I put at least two of them in the book.
Speaking of character art, I updated my website with art from There’s Something About Dragons and Dragon, Actually! If you want to take a peek, you can find the newer stuff in the Character Art section of my website.

AUDIO NEWS
I’m so excited to announce that Podium Entertainment has picked up There’s Something About Dragons (and the other How I Met My Monster books) to produce in audio! It takes a while to make an audiobook so I’ll update when I have preorder and launch date information, but the next few months are the fun part where I get to pick narrators! I'm excited.
NEW FROM OTHER AUTHORS
I love sharing new books from my author friends. Did someone say... tentacles?👀🐙
Kraken Cove: Second Chance With The Sea Monster
by Ami Wright
One hot summer night, he was my first, but my small town hero has a secret: he’s a sea monster!
My fiance is cheating, our wedding is cancelled and I can’t face going back to Sydney to a life I never wanted. When I run to my parents’ holiday home at Kraken Cove rather than face reality, those hot summer memories all come flooding back.
And when it turns out the builder we hired to renovate is my long lost first love, Luke, we reconnect and it’s hotter than ever. When Luke touches me, it’s like I’ve always been his. He knows all the ways to set me on fire and have me begging for more. He’s like the handyman for my heart, someone whose smile makes me feel like everything’s going to be OK.
But we’re from two different worlds, literally! He’s a kraken, tied to the sea and to his family. All too soon I’ll have to go back. Back to Sydney and the job I hate, and constant pressure from my parents to be someone I’m not. If only I could find a way to escape to Kraken Cove forever.
Have a great weekend full of great stories!
Love,
Sara
