I hope you had fun ringing in 2026. I stayed home and ate Chinese takeout, watched a marathon of The Good Place with my husband and kids, and toasted with ginger ale. It was very chill and a nice way to start the year.

I'm starting a new thing in my newsletter where I tell you what I'm reading right now. I'm in the middle of Funny Feelings by Tarah DeWitt. It's about a stand-up comedian who falls for her (older, single dad) manager, and the jokes in it are genuinely hilarious. I don't think I've laughed out loud so much at a book in a long time.
