A Dragon in Paris

Here it is, the moment you’ve all been waiting for—or perhaps forgot you ever even signed up for because it’s taken me so ridiculously long to get myself in gear to send this—my first official newsletter! If there’s one thing my writing journey has taught me, it’s that procrastination is my biggest downfall. I have the horrible habit of letting life slip by, and suddenly realizing I’ve gotten nothing accomplished according to my plans. All this to say, I apologize for the delay, and while I can’t promise it will never happen again, I do intend to make this more of a monthly thing moving forward.

I would love to hear from you to get an idea of what you’re interested in reading here in my monthly letters. I’ve long put off starting a newsletter in general, because I’ve struggled to imagine what people want to know about my writing journey and otherwise, so if there’s anything you’d like to learn, whether about my writing, editing, or my random little expat life here in the Czech Republic, please respond to this message and let me know.

As the title of this missive promised, I spent last weekend in Paris, and what good author/bookstagrammer wouldn’t sacrifice good sense and reason for the opportunity to haul her book around in the heaviest handbag on the planet just to snap the perfect pictures? So, I’ll share a little preview of the fruits of my labor here, then be sure to hop over and follow me on instagram (@transientdrifter) for a chance to see more of what my back and shoulders suffered to make happen.

Thank you all for taking the time to read this little update. On the bookish front, I finished another round of editing on the grand finale to my trilogy, Bohemian Dragon Awakening, the week before I went to Paris. I’ve sent it off to an editor friend, and I’m hoping to start working on the final round of edits so I can get it into your hands by the end of the summer. Here’s to hope.

Wishing you all well,

Sarah
