The Fickle Days of Spring

Curiouser and curiouser -- Do you have a favorite season?
It's that time of year when, from day to day, you never know what you're gonna get outside. As a longtime, confirmed sun lover, the weather whiplash is so draining. Can I just have a little run of sunny days? Please? But you didn't come here to read about the weather, so I'll stop my whining and get to the good stuff...
Just take a moment to pause and drool over this beautiful cover!
And why stop there? Here's another lovely view along with a portion of the interview in B-17 Voices of the Air that inspired me to write about the bombing of Rotterdam on May 14, 1940.
For those not in the know, I spent five years working on a project taking interviews and reworking them into mini biographies. These interviews were of men and women on both sides of WWII (primarily the European front) and they introduced me to soooo many parts of the war that I'd formerly known nothing about. Such as, the bombing of Rotterdam. Interesting little tidbit, the historic center of the city was so badly destroyed that, rather than trying to rebuild it as was done in Dresden, they pretty much just tore it down and created an entirely new landscape, new roads, a whole new city.
Can you tell I'm just a wee bit excited that this book is finally becoming a reality? In fact, it's up for preorder already on the 'Zon! Click here to reserve your copy!
I got the idea for it back in 2021 while watching YouTube videos of Urban explorers, especially the Bros of Decay, while putting my then toddler down for her naps. I loved the idea of going into an old ruin and being transported to an event in history. Combined with the first hand accounts I had worked on, the idea for the Untouched series was born. And the rest is, as they say, history.
I still have openings on my street/launch/ARC team. So if digging into the human side of history and imagining what would happen if a couple of modern day teenagers got plopped down into that setting perks your curiosity, click here to get in on the inside where you will get an early copy for free!

Today, I'd like to introduce you to one of my fellow Christian Mommy Writers. Meet Amanda Tero Matthews!
Amanda loves getting lost in the world of fiction. If she’s not reading or listening to audiobooks, then she’s working on her own stories and worlds. She writes YA Christian fiction under Amanda Tero (best known for A Strand of Hope and Tales of Faith), clean Christian beach romances under Amanda Tero Matthews (coming in 2026), and co-authors Christian cozy mysteries under Chelsea Michelle (2025 Selah Awards finalist, Transactions We Expose).

I've personally read her Chelsea Michelle cozy mystery series, and they're just so much fun.
And in case you missed the launch of Sparkler, there's still time to sign up for their newsletters and read the debut issue, in which you'll find a teaser "prequel" story to Breaking Triviality. Sparkler is a free online flash fiction (700-1K word stories) Young Adult magazine. If you or anyone you might possibly know, enjoys YA stories, be sure to check this out. All stories are clean and age appropriate for 12-18 year olds. The next issue will be releasing in the summer, and is open to teen writers!
And before I go, remember that Of Pastries and Vengeance releases on April 28th! So soon! This is the fourth installment in the Games of Greed and Ruin Steampunk Mystery series and follows Maple and a new character, Rory (with cameos by Zenith and Phoenix!). You won't want to miss out on this one if you've been following the series so far. And if you haven't started yet, there's no time like the present. I'm currently hard at work on the next two books in the series and can't wait to share more about them soon. Just a little teaser for now...Sky Pirates! Need I say more?
Thanks for reading and joining me on this wild writing adventure. Until next time,
Sarah
