Sri Sudarshan Narasimha Yagya
The Wheel of Protection Turns — From Vrindavan, For the World
Thursday, 30 April 2026 ✦ Narasimha Jayanti ✦ Vrindavan
Reflection
The Sudarshana Chakra does not spin randomly. It moves with divine precision — reaching exactly where darkness has taken root. Tomorrow, on Narasimha Jayanti, that same wheel of protection will spin in Vrindavan, in a sacred fire performed for all who carry their prayers with them. You do not need to be present in body. Your name, your gotra, your sankalpa — these are enough.

There are moments in the sacred calendar when multiple streams of grace converge. This Narasimha Jayanti is such a moment. Saptarishis Astrology is organising the Sri Sudarshan Narasimha Yagya in holy Vrindavan — in honour of the One who crossed the boundaries of form and time to protect a devotee's unbroken faith. For devotees who attended the Mumbai Narasimha Puja, this is an exclusive continuation of that grace. For all others, an open invitation to participate remotely in one of the most powerful fire offerings of the year.

The Weapon of Liberation
Understanding the Sudarshana Chakra
The Sudarshana Chakra is not merely a weapon. In the deeper tradition, it is the divine Will itself — the force of conscious order that cuts through illusion, dissolves obstacles, and restores the harmony of dharma wherever it has been disturbed.
1. Sudarshana — The One Who Sees Clearly
Su (auspicious) + darshana (vision) — the instrument of flawless divine sight. To invoke Sudarshana is to ask not only for protection, but for clarity: the ability to see one's situation as the Lord sees it. In astrological terms, this is the grace that dissolves the fog of Rahu and restores right perception.
2. The Chakra and Narasimha Together
Narasimha is the fierce protector; Sudarshana is the precise executor of divine Will. Together they form a complete shield — one that protects from external danger and one that dismantles the unseen: black energies, karmic knots, hidden enemies, and inexplicable suffering that no human remedy alone can reach.
3. Why a Yagya? The Power of Collective Fire
A Yagya is a fire offering performed with mantra, oblation, and collective sankalpa — Agni, the sacred fire, acting as the direct channel between human prayer and cosmic law. A collective Yagya carries power far beyond individual prayer: each participant's sincerity adds to a single flame that grows with every devoted heart behind it.

The Sacred Landscape
Why the Yagya is Being Held in Vrindavan
Vrindavan is among the most spiritually charged lands on earth — a Kshetra where the divine presence is considered perpetually accessible and where every sincere intention is amplified. To perform a Narasimha Yagya here, on Narasimha Jayanti itself, is to place your sankalpa at the convergence of the most powerful day on the Narasimha calendar with one of the most receptive sacred landscapes in India.
The Convergence of Grace
Sacred land + Sacred day + Collective fire + Your sincere prayer. This is the formula. The Yagya will be conducted for 30 minutes, broadcast live from Vrindavan, so devotees across the world can witness and participate in real time. Distance is not an obstacle when the flame is already burning on your behalf.

Personal Practices
Three More Ways to Connect with Lord Narasimha Today
These are simple, potent practices that any devotee can undertake at home on Narasimha Jayanti, whether or not you have participated in the Yagya.
Practice 1 — The Mula Mantra at Twilight
At dusk on Jayanti — the Sandhya hour when day meets night — chant the Narasimha Mula Mantra: Om Ugram Viram Maha-Vishnum Jvalantam Sarvato Mukham a minimum of 108 times. Dusk is considered the twilight of consciousness, a mirror of the moment when Narasimha emerged from the pillar — neither day nor night, neither inside nor outside — and it is the most auspicious time to call upon His protection on this sacred day.
Practice 2 — The Sankalpa Offering
Before sunrise or at any point during the Jayanti, sit quietly, take three deep breaths, and speak your sankalpa aloud. Name what you are carrying — the fear, the difficulty, the prayer — and then offer it consciously to Lord Narasimha. Do not ask from a place of desperation. Speak as Prahlada did: with certainty that the Lord is already listening. This simple act of spoken offering is considered a complete prayer in the Narasimha tradition.
Practice 3 — Lighting a Ghee Lamp for the Home
Light a ghee lamp in the east-facing corner of your puja room or home entrance at dawn. The ghee flame on Narasimha Jayanti is said to consecrate the home, removing negative energies and inviting the protective presence of the Lord. If you have an image or yantra of Lord Narasimha, place a flower at His feet and let the lamp burn for the duration of your morning prayers. The light itself becomes the prayer.
✦ For All Who Carry a Prayer ✦
May the fire lit in Vrindavan tomorrow carry your name, your prayer, and your sincerity into the presence of the Lord. May Lord Narasimha, the One who spares no effort for a devoted heart, dissolve every obstacle in your path and replace it with grace.
