Dear friends,
To simplify Lajjitaadi Avasthas, let’s explore their effects using a relatable story.
Scenario: The Planets as Characters in a Classroom
Imagine a classroom where planets are students. Each planet's behavior reflects its emotional state (Avastha) and how it interacts with its environment (conjunctions, aspects, or house placements).
Lajjita (Ashamed) Avastha:
Student: Mercury (the communicator).
Situation: Mercury sits in the 5th house (education) and is scolded by the teacher (Sun).
Behavior: Mercury feels ashamed and hesitates to raise its hand or participate in discussions. Even though it knows the answers, its confidence is suppressed.
Result: The native may face issues in education or expressing themselves clearly in academic settings.
Garvita (Proud) Avastha:
Student: Jupiter (the wise guide).
Situation: Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, sitting at the front of the class with a gold star on its chest.
Behavior: Jupiter is proud and happily shares wisdom with other students. It takes on the role of a leader, inspiring and teaching others with confidence.
Result: The native excels in higher education, enjoys respect in their spiritual or professional community, and receives blessings from mentors.
Kshudhita (Hungry) Avastha:
Student: Mars (the warrior).
Situation: Mars is seated in an enemy's corner (Taurus) with no food and is being mocked by a rival (Saturn).
Behavior: Mars is restless and frustrated, unable to focus on tasks because its energy is drained by hunger and external stress.
Result: The native struggles with achieving goals, feels blocked in career pursuits, and may experience inner frustration.
Trushita (Thirsty) Avastha:
Student: Venus (the artist).
Situation: Venus sits under a fan in a water sign, with no support from friends (benefic planets) while being teased by malefics.
Behavior: Venus feels thirsty, yearning for appreciation and creativity but struggles to find fulfillment due to a lack of encouragement.
Result: The native craves emotional connection and beauty in relationships but feels unfulfilled.
Mudita (Delighted) Avastha:
Student: Saturn (the disciplined one).
Situation: Saturn is sitting in a friend’s corner (Aquarius) while being cheered on by benefic friends.
Behavior: Saturn is delighted, calmly completing assignments and helping others with patience.
Result: The native experiences stability, enjoys steady growth in career and finances, and earns respect through hard work.
Kshobhita (Agitated) Avastha:
Student: Moon (the emotional one).
Situation: The Moon sits next to a bully (Rahu), who constantly disturbs it with unnecessary comments.
Behavior: The Moon becomes agitated, unable to focus on its emotions, leading to confusion and anxiety.
Result: The native struggles with mental peace and emotional stability, often experiencing mood swings.
Moral of the Story:
Each planet's emotional state (Avastha) determines its ability to function and contribute positively. Just like students perform differently based on their environment, planets behave based on their conditions in a horoscope.
How to Help the Students (Remedies):
Ashamed (Lajjita): Build their confidence (chant mantras, offer donations).
Proud (Garvita): Encourage leadership but ensure humility.
Hungry (Kshudhita): Provide nourishment (gemstones, rituals).
Thirsty (Trushita): Offer support and guidance (prayers, charity).
Delighted (Mudita): Let them shine and lead.
Agitated (Kshobhita): Calm their nerves (meditation, pacifying remedies).
