Reflection

The Guru is not merely a teacher — he is the living bridge between the individual soul and the Supreme. In Jyotish, every technique we receive has descended through an unbroken lineage of Gurus; the chart itself cannot speak unless a Guru illuminates it. As we begin this week's study, let us bow to that grace which makes knowledge possible.

Technique 1

Harassment Transit — When Saturn Meets Natal Mars

Source: Research by Sunil John, Saptarishis Astrology

Researched and compiled by Sunil John of Saptarishis Astrology, this technique examines what happens when Transit Saturn conjoins or aspects Natal Mars in the birth chart. Transits must never be read in isolation from dashas — they only deliver events when the natal chart already carries the yoga for it. This oft-ignored point means the natal position of both Saturn and Mars must first be assessed for affliction before applying this rule.

✦  Trigger: Tr Saturn conjunct or aspecting Natal Mars — native faces harassment by superiors, boss problems, or colleague conflicts

✦  Aspects: Apply both Parashari and trinal aspects — 4th & 8th aspects carry 75% strength (commonly ignored though mentioned in BPHS)

✦  Condition: Both Mars and Saturn must be at least slightly afflicted in the natal chart for this transit to activate

✦  Remember: No transit creates new karma — it only delivers what the natal chart has already promised

✦ Technique Insight ✦

"Transits without considering dashas is not appropriate — and transits only deliver what the natal chart has already promised."

Technique 2

Darakaraka Navamsa — Rules of Late & Delayed Marriage

Source: Jaimini System — Rules by Shri R. K. Das, Saptarishis Astrology

Compiled from the Jaimini system by Shri R. K. Das and published in Saptarishis Astrology research, these rules use the Darakaraka — the planet with the fewest degrees in any sign — to assess marriage timing. The Darakaraka's placement in the Navamsa chart (D9) forms the reference point from which Rahu and Ketu positions are measured. These rules are offered for research testing on known charts and should be applied alongside standard Parashari marriage indicators.

✦  Rule 1 & 2: If Ketu is in the 2nd, 7th, or 12th from the Darakaraka Navamsa, the native will marry late.

✦  Rule 3 & 4: If Rahu is in the 2nd, 11th, or 12th from the Darakaraka Navamsa, delayed marriage is indicated.

✦  Method: First identify the least-degree planet in any sign (Darakaraka), locate its Navamsa position, then check Rahu/Ketu placements relative to it.

✦ Technique Insight ✦

"The least advanced planet in any Rashi is the Darakaraka — its Navamsa reveals the hidden story of marriage."
