Hi

Holiday greetings to all my readers, old and new! Writing is mostly just my computer and me, so it’s lovely to connect to the people on the other end of the process. It gives me the greatest joy to know that you have read and liked my work, and I appreciate every single one of you. Thank you!

In my last newsletter I promised some progress with my latest book, and in the last few days, in-between the day job, Christmas shopping, and welcoming my husband home from deployment, I’ve finally actually begun writing it. Yay!

I also have a tentative title, which I would love to hear your thoughts on – I’m terrible at titles.

“All That Remains.” What do you think?

Here is a first draft of the promised blurb. It will most likely change by the time the book is finished, but it should give you a rough idea of what it’s going to be about.

So, here goes:

Class divides once tore them apart. Now, a letter from the past threatens the fragile life they’ve built together—can love survive what remains?

1995. Ben Marlow and Lady Eva Benedict have spent decades building a life together, but when an unexpected letter arrives, it threatens to unravel the fragile peace they’ve found, stirring long-buried memories of the sacrifices that still haunt them. As they prepare to confront the past, Eva and Ben face a choice: let old wounds define their future, or finally lay their ghosts to rest.

1939. As Europe teeters on the brink of war, Eva’s life is upended when aspiring writer Ben Marlow arrives at Silverwood Hall. Their connection is instant, and their passion undeniable, until class and duty tear them apart. Thrown into lives they never imagined by the upheaval and losses of war, they find themselves haunted by what might have been. Then, in a post-war world, fate offers them one last chance to rewrite their story, but at a devastating cost.

All That Remains is sweeping historical fiction about love, sacrifice, and the scars that time cannot erase. With unforgettable characters and an evocative dual timeline, this story will transport you to the heartbreak and resilience of another era.

Does it sound like something you'd like to read? I do hope so!

Please drop me a line if you have any comments or feedback - I'd love to hear from you.

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season, however you choose to spend it. Till next year, happy reading!
