👺Open AI CEO says AI must be overwatched

Why would Sam Altman say this? What danger does he see? He argues that the software is used by other states to spy on political enemies. That is a fairly ridiculous argument, considering the USA is making large sums of money spying and repressing people. Maybe the USA just wants to defend their spot as the Papa of all spies? To me, it is just about the question, why is all the surveillance capitalism necessary at all? What benefit do I as a citizen have from weird organizations spying on me?

🤑AI Doomerism is just a PR method

According to an article recently published by the Atlantic, AI Doomerism is just a PR method. Big tech companies pretend they are some ethical pack of selfless altruists who would want to protect everyone from - yeah, what? Well, themselves.

👨🏻‍⚖️Using AI to draft laws to monopolize AI

Well, okay. But we have politicians that could think critically about whatever the lobby presents to them, right? Okay, yes. But if they are using AI tools, too? Do we even know there is no other human behind ChatGPT when it comes to important decision-making? How does a law look like that is drafted by ChatGPT? I asked ChatGPT to make a law that should ensure a monopoly on AI. And surprise, it reads like the European Draft for the AI Act and the American laws around AI.

Sam Altman is speaking for the front of the doomerists in congress, too. And he got a huge investment from Microsoft for it. If I was a doomerist, I believe the USA wants to limit persons using computers to obey some weird pro-war agenda. But that's just me.

Sam Altman at least delivers testimonials, right?

I think the worst sentence is: AI will not replace you, a person using AI will.

Why? Because we are only allowed to use certain AI when the doomerists win. Essentially, the new laws are limiting the freedom of speech and might exercise mind control. OpenAI already implements advertisement for certain fashion products. What is the end of the line for that? To me, OpenAI sounds very altruistic, doesn't it?
