daily life

this week was insane. in fact it was my busiest week in Korea since i arrived last year. 

first, my American friend got out of the 2-week hotel quarantine. i’ve been showing him around, helping set up things like a gym membership, phone plan, etc. next, i went to 3 auditions for gigs in radio, advertising, and voice acting. within a couple days i was already hired for 2 of them, and the last one just needs me to audition again next week. (i’ll share the final product when they’re public)

yesterday morning i took the express train to Busan, and right now i’m gearing up to record my first-ever Korean song at a professional studio this weekend. originally it was going to be a pop track, but during today’s pre-production meeting (choosing sounds, tracking scratch instruments), i get the feeling it will sound more like soft rock instead. oh well.

since i booked another studio in Seoul on March 3rd, i’ll have 3 songs you can listen to within the next few weeks. unfortunately my (Korean language) studying suffered a lot, but beginning next Thursday my schedule is open again.

일상 생활

미친 한 주 였어요. 사실 작년에 한국에 온 이후로 가장 바빴던 한 주였어요. 

첫 번째로, 내 미국 친구가 2주간의 자가격리를 끝내고 나왔어요. 그동안 친구에게 한국을 보여주고, 헬스장 회원권, 핸드폰 등록 등 여기에 잘 적응하게 도와줬어요. 그 다음, 저는 라디오, 광고, 성우 3개의 오디션을 봤답니다. 며칠 뒤, 그 중 2개의 일을 따냈고, 마지막 하나는 다음주에 한번 더 오디션이 필요하다고 해요. (그 내용이 세상에 공개되면 제가 여기에도 공유할께요!) 

어제 아침 부산에 고속열차를 타고 왔어요 . 그리고 바로 지금, 이번 주말 저는 제 인생 첫번째 한국어 노래를 전문 스튜디오에서 녹음하고 있습니다. 원래 이건 팝송 트랙일 예정이었는데, 오늘의 사전 제작 미팅에서(사운드를 고르고 악기 소리를 넣어보는) 저는 소프트 락 음악처럼 들릴 것 같은 느낌을 받고 있어요. 뭐 그래요. 

3월 3일에 서울에 있는 또 다른 스튜디오를 예약했기 때문에, 다음 몇몇 주 뒤면 저는 당신이 들을 수 있는 3개의 노래들이 생길 거예요. 그치만 제 한국어 공부가 피해를 입었어요. 하지만 다음주 화요일 부터는 제 일정이 다시 여유로워 질거예요.
