daily life

during Christmas i wandered around Busan, the “Los Angeles” of Korea. on my Monday train back to Seoul, security guards crowded my row after i took my mask off and was reported by another passenger. cowards.

my gym is still closed so i went running a couple times this week. it was so cold i started spitting out blood. oh well. in music news, a long-time friend is moving to Korea in a few weeks and will be playing drums on my new EP. i also finished a 2nd song, Signs, about the challenges of moving from NYC to Seoul (leaving loved ones, culture shock, etc).

일상 생활

크리스마스 동안 부산 명소들을 방문했어요. 근데 이번 주 월요일에 서울로 돌아오는 KTX 열차에서 다른 사람이 마스크 안 쓴 저를 신고해서 보안요원이 제 좌석으로 왔어요. 겁쟁이들은 귀찮아요.

제 헬스장은 아직 휴업 중이라 두 번 밖에서 달리기했어요. 근데 너무 추워서 피를 뱉었어요. 에휴. 음악 뉴스로는 이번 달 말에 제 불알친구가 한국으로 이사오고 제 새로 나올 음반을 위해 드럼을 연주할거예요. 마지막으로 두 번째 노래, 제목은 “싸인,” 완성했어요. 그 노래는 뉴욕에서 서울로 이사하는 도전에 대한 얘기예요. (친구 남기는 거, 다른 문화에 적응하기, 등)

projects

Kung Flu taught us that everyone has a breaking point. mine was Christmas Day, when i decided to no longer wear a mask outside. it’s not against the law, and recent studies indicate asymptomatic spread is basically nonexistent.

to encourage more healthy people to live free i’m starting a movement called Brainwashed. we’re a growing group of rebels who want to raise awareness of the freedoms being taken away from us. our first stunt went live this morning - a series of “tear here” patches on police tape that prohibits entry to public parks.

next week i’ll share the website and our 2nd stunt. oh, and i’ll start posting on Instagram once i hit 30 followers.

사이드 프로젝트

중국의 바이러스가 우리 모두에게 가르친 게 하나있어요: 누구나 “breaking point” 있다는 것. 저의 경우 크리스마스 날, 그 때부터 밖에 있을 때 마스크 안 써요. 참고로 말하면 이건 법에 어긋나지 않고, 최근 연구에서 무증상 환자들은 바이러스를 안 퍼뜨린다고 들었어요.

그래서 건강한 사람들을 위해 이번 주에 “Brainwashed” (세뇌된 사람들) 커뮤니티를 시작했어요. 우리는 인권 운동가같은 그룹이에요. 우리 목적은 자유인을 더 만드는 거예요. 오늘 아침에 홍대에서 우리의 첫 번째 활동을 공개했어요. 사진에서 보다시피 테이프 “뜯는곳" 스티커예요.
