6 Signs of Heat Stroke and What To Do....

Happy Sunday,

I'm sure it goes without saying, but keep an eye on your dog's in the heat this week as the 🌞 sun is shining and it's finally warm! Dolly and I are enjoying the great Norfolk outdoors.

But like a lot of frenchies, she loves the sun, but gets hot very quickly. Now she does wear a cool coat, which really helps. ( It's this one from Prestige if you're looking for a recommendation). But I'm always keeping an eye for the signs of heat stroke.

I've attached a handy infographic to this email which contains the key information. Why not save it to your photos on your phone and favourite it, just in case you need it.

If you do need to treat heat stroke, here's how to cool your dog down safely:

1. If your dog has heat stroke get them into a cool environment as soon as possible.

2. Keep the air circulating in order to prevent overheating and keep the room at around 19 degrees Celsius (70 degrees Fahrenheit).

3. Offer sips of cool water to help lower their body temperature gradually.

4. Place a wet towel on top of their head or neck for additional cooling relief.

Enjoy the bank holiday and all this lovely sunshine!
