When a wild wish becomes reality

What’s the dream you’d regret not pursuing?

Hi ,

Courage is not the absence of fear—it’s moving forward despite it.

It was March 2020. I was in Koh Phangan, Thailand, on an 8-week sabbatical from my Medical Science Director job at Genentech in San Francisco. I was enchanted by the island—the conscious events, ecstatic dances, authentic relating training, embodiment and breathwork workshops. I loved the slow island pace, the great weather, the palm trees, the waterfalls and the super interesting international community where conversations went deep and connections were quickly formed.

I was staying in a gorgeous Airbnb, a modern, Western-style house in between beautiful palm trees. I loved it there. And exactly 5 years ago today, on March 15th, 2020, standing on the ecstatic dance floor, I declared a wild wish:

“I want to live on this island, in this house that I’m currently in, and do this kind of work full-time — facilitating, teaching, and guiding individuals through healing and transformation.”

It felt like a far-off dream.

Then, the world changed. Borders closed. I left the island quickly to be closer to my parents, unsure of what the pandemic would bring. The dream was put on pause.

Today, I pinch myself:

I now live on this island.

I live in the exact same house that I lived in back then, that I wished to live in.

And I do the work I once only dreamed of—facilitating and teaching full-time.

It didn’t happen all at once, but something inside me remembered that moment—that declaration—and slowly, over time, things started falling into place, making that dream a reality.

This isn’t a story about life being sunshine and rainbows once you make a wish and think positive. This life does bring me to my edges regularly. But it is a story of courage and trust and the wish for no regrets at the end of it all.

It’s about hearing your truth—even if it feels far away or impossible—and choosing to move towards it, one step at a time.

So I want to ask you:

🌿 What’s the quiet whisper inside you—the truth you’ve been pushing aside?

🌿 What’s the dream you’d regret not pursuing?

Let these questions simmer. Take a walk, go on a hike or a swim, sit in silence. Then, grab your journal and let the answers flow:

If you want support in uncovering your truth and stepping into it with courage and clarity, I offer private sessions and custom programs for individuals, couples, and teams. Reply to this email to learn more and book a session.

Authentically relating first with yourself, then with others.

One step at a time. No regrets.

With love,

Roxana💚
