Good morning,
The 2025 season is here! A small start with more to come.
Apricots and Cherries for sale this weekend
Saturday we will start picking MagicCot apricots and Merchant variety cherries. Thanks for all the great feedback on our apricots last week. They just seem to keep getting better.
These will be available for sale picked at:
· Mudgee Farmers Twilight Market, Saturday 5pm at Roberston Park
· At the farm Sunday from noon. 108 Eurunderee Lane Mudgee
· Narrabri – Craddock’s Butchery Monday
Saturday’s twilight market celebrates 20 years of the Mudgee Farmers Market – it’s shaping up to be a fun night of activities. Get in early for cherries and apricots.
Pick your own bookings open – season starts Sunday 7 December
Bookings have opened today online for some mornings for pick your own (starting 7 Dec). Book online here More dates will be added as we see cherries ripening.
The unusually cool November has slowed ripening and it’s a little difficult to predict. With so many queries about booking we have at this stage opened booking only those mornings we are reasonably confident in having ripe cherries.
No pick your own this week or next. We have just a few rows of the Merchants and the Sambas didn’t really fruit this year so pick your own will open for the Rons and Vans varieties.
We open 7:30-11 on some weekdays (please see bookings as we update there based on cherries) and 7:30-12pm weekends. Why only mornings? It is much better for the cherries and for visitors to pick in the cool of the morning. The early start adds to the experience!
Bookings are strongly encouraged, particularly if you want to visit on weekends to pick your own. By booking a time slot it is a better experience for everyone to avoid congestion. It also means if the cherries aren’t ripe or there is an extreme weather event forecast we can email you with an update.
Cherry Express
Cherry runs are planned for Scone, Morpeth, Quirindi, Narrabri, Moree, Blue Mountains and Western Sydney. Likely from 11-19 Dec. Bear with us as we see how the cherries ripen. We'll take orders close to the time. Nothing's ever guaranteed with a cherry crop!
Look forward to seeing you through the season.
