Back in the Writing Cave

Of course, as you know, the writing "cave" is really just the office/dinette portion of the hobo house. But if I don't open up the windows or the back doors-- it's kinda like a cave.

No...I don't actually have a toe-curling peek at the new book to share, but I am getting there. Finally.

What I do have is an increasing irritation for the way my newsletter email service is choosing to deliver-- or not deliver-- my emails. So over the next few weeks, I will be trying a new service.

If all goes as planned-- YOU won't notice at all. Other than, probably, an update to the overall visual aspect of the emails.

But if you don't hear from me after a couple of weeks, you might want to shoot me an email at RocklynRyder@Rocklynwrites.net and say "What happened?"

In the meantime, I am back at work on the next Moonshine Ridge book...have I mentioned the series was supposed to be complete by now? Sigh. I had such grand plans. This "real life" stuff is really starting to annoy me.

And since December is slipping by so quickly, I'd like to give you a heads up on some of my plans for 2024: My older books will be leaving Kindle Unlimited.

Hopefully, that isn't a huge inconvenience or disappointment for anyone. I'm sure you've seen discussions elsewhere of the pros and cons indie authors face by entering into the exclusive contract with Amazon required to have our books in KU so I don't need to go into it.

I started publishing as Rocklyn seven years ago, this month! I have a lot of older books that are ready to find new readerships on other platforms-- it's time.

This means that the Match-Maker/Raven Swann books are going to start coming out of the KU program throughout early 2024. I'll keep you updated on which ones are leaving on what dates after the new year, so if those books are on your to be read list and Kindle Unlimited is the only way you're going to get to them, start now!

No worries-- they'll still be for sale and they'll still be available on Amazon.

I know the holidays are approaching at lightning speed, the whole year is about to end in a fiery crash as it collides with the to-do list I haven't gotten done, and I'm way behind on my production schedule and there's still a December freebie to share.

I'm caffeinating as fast as I can!

Hoping your next three weeks aren't as hectic as mine as we sweep another year out the door!

~Rocklyn
