I've been telling you for weeks now that Mesa was about to pull a bone-head move. It's the sort of thing that heroes in romance books do often and, as a reader, it makes me insanely angry. So once I found out this what going to be the thing that made him hit the panic button...I tried really hard to talk him off that ledge.

As you can see...he still freaked out.

I really hope that I was able to tell his story in a way that makes it easy to forgive him. (Terra's still pretty irritated with him.)

Speaking of Terra-- the youngest of the Diaz family and the next in line for her story...wow. Just wow, y'all!

Writing the blurb for her and Hawk's book was an eye opening moment into our deputy's off-duty persona and now I am dying to get to their book! Seriously-- I had no idea. (The man has handcuffs, after all.)
