Just Your Average Update

Just so we're clear: I didn't forget to schedule this email for Thursday this week-- I lost my internet connection.

One minute, I had signal and then it flat out disappeared for several hours. Just one of the perks of this nomadic life.

On the other hand, I did score a fabulous spot on the edge of a lake for the next week! But it comes with ducks that make noise in the middle of the night when I'm least expecting it-- while I write a book that involves some Bigfoot hunting.

Not that I mistake the ducks for Bigfoot! But then-- you just never know.

On that note: the next book from Moonshine Ridge is finally past chapter 2. I've written and rewritten Glen and Finch's meetcute about a bazillion times and we all agree that we now have a version that describes it perfectly.

Next week I'll have a sneek peek ready, but be warned: I was reading a reeallly fillthy reverse harem series when I started writing Glen and Finch's book so...you're welcome?

*Note: I'm not really that heavily influenced by what I'm reading when I write-- and I will never be able to write anything as dark, dirty, and decadent as Nikki St. Crowe's Vicious Lost Boys series.

*Also Note: This is not a recommendation! (Yes, I did read the whole series. Yes, I did love it. Yes, I am looking for more. But:) This is nothing like the stuff I write! So I absolutely, 100% cannot say "if you like my books then..." NOPE! Not like my books AT. ALL!

If you go looking these up READ THE CONTENT WARNINGS FIRST!

But if you get that far and you're all in...enjoy.

Now I'm curious: I expect that a lot of you read across a multitude of genres and sub-genres-- how many of you love dark romance? Are trigger warnings like catnip to you? I swear, some content warnings are like a triple dog dare to me. LMK!
