The Weekly Progress Report-- and Cover Reveal
Mar 20, 2025 12:01 pm
Hmm. I should have sent out the email on Monday-- Archer Dean's cover would have gone well with the St. Patrick's Day vibe.
Know what I don't have yet? A blurb. But I do have a cover, all the characters, the big tropes, and a completed "outline."
When I say "outline" I mean-- I have half a page of notes that you could kinda/sorta use to walk through the story as currently planned to get a general feel for what's going to happen.
Characters rarely stay on script, and sometimes, stories veer so far off their initial plan that I could literally use the first notes to write an entirely new book-- so, we'll see how much sass Archer Dean and Callie give me before I get them to HEA.
What I know for sure:
- Archer Dean is the second youngest O'Leary brother of the Delta O Ranch.
- Callie is a florist, Ginger Jones' BFF from Driven to the Mountain, and Zephyr Hart-Damiani's mentor in Whispers on the Mountain.
- This is another age-gap instalove with a heroine who's been holding out a very long time for the only man that's ever made her heart go pitter-pat.
- Cal's big brother, Rowan, is Archer's best friend.
- Rowan is also the feed supplier for the Delta O Ranch.
- Rowan is NOT okay with his little sister dating.
- My email service's formatting for bullet points is wonky and may, or may not, actually line up correctly for you when you read this.
Do I have a release date planned for TCOLO? (Shakes Magic 8 Ball:) Better not tell you now. I think so, but this series has been trouble so far, so I'll let you know more next week.
Things back home here in Fallon are slowly sorting out, with the house remodel beginning to look more like a house and less like an abandoned office building.
I've been getting my projects on the hobo-house camper trailer wrapped up and will probably start talking about campgrounds and cactus again soon-- although, BFF wants me to stay here and landscape myself a proper permanent parking space for the hobo-house.
IDK-- sounds like work. It is on the to-do list, but I'll probably save it for a fall project. I've been in one place too long and I'd like to get out and do some camping. (aka: Hiding from the world while I write books.)
