The long, exhausted, author note:

The whole point of the Moonshine Ridge series has been to write something short and fun, but Terra and Deputy Hawkins just wanted to include all the details!

There's a lot going on in the background of this book, as well.

The edits were painful. We painstakingly ripped thousands of words out of what I thought was a finished book. My little author ego is feeling a bit battered.

No worries, though, none of the edits resulted in actual "deleted scenes" so you won't be missing out.

The story is still intact.

I will be taking a break before starting on the Hart family-- one, there's another solar eclipse to see, and two, there's side story from this book that I really want to write as a bonus scene!

One of these days, I'll get around to properly fleshing out the back story for those crazy old ladies, but I think we all are going to want to see what started the fight in this book. (You'll know when you get there.)

I ended up falling madly, stupidly in love with the Deputy during this book, and Terra is going to keep him on his toes. Inside my head, these two are everything. I really hope I did their story justice.
