A Moonshine Ridge Extra to Make up for Missing Last Week's email

Well, we waited long enough for it, didn't we?

It's just a cute little peak into Ash and Hyacinth's happily ever after 12 years after their-- very instalove and OTT-- book way back at the beginning of the Moonshine Ridge series.

Spice was requested, so spice it has-- believe me, there's a reason Hyacinth keeps having to deliver this kind of news to her sexy, mountain man hubby!

Enjoy!

Of course-- if you have problems downloading the bonus scene and/or loading it into however you read these things...it might be easier to contact Bookfunnel support, but I'll always do my best to figure out the solution if you hit me up first.

Yup. I totally spaced out on last week's email. Last Wednesday was the first of my three-appointment process for this root canal and Wednesday nights are when I write these things and schedule them to ride at dawn (my time) on Thursday morning...I might not have been thinking about emails last week.

This is my first-ever root canal and I reported back to my friend that it wasn't the worst experience in my life...in fact, I had her snort laughing when I told her I'd rather do another root canal than a couple of my exes.

I said I was taking a break this month-- before I get to work on the Slow River Valley Ranches series-- I was going to write two bonus scenes for the Mountain Men, make a dent in my TBR pile, and then this stupid tooth thing.

So far, I've managed one of those bonus scenes (the other one is a prequel to Mesa and Robin Diaz in Mountain Man's Hope,) almost/kinda/sorta decided on the cover designs for the Slow River Valley Ranches books, read a gazillion of the books in that TBR pile-- which, as we all know, only makes room for more books on the pile!-- and gotten through step one of the tooth thing.

And to the reader who assured me it would feel much better as soon as I got through that? You were so right!

I also caught another surprise showing of aurora borealis in the lower 48! And those photos are still on the big camera so I'll remember to share the best ones in next week's email.

The kp index got up to 7! The aurora was so red down here in northeastern Nevada, and it was strong enough to see a faint red glow in the northern sky with the naked eye.

It's nothing like seeing it from Fairbanks, Alaska, of course-- but there's an undeniable thrill anytime I can catch it in photos from the lower 48.

I had to drive 20 miles out of camp to get to internet so I could upload things and get them off to everyone-- so now I'm headed back to the hobo house to make some fajitas and listen to creepy podcasts.

I might just be on the verge of breaking down to invest in fancy and expensive satellite internet, but we'll see. I don't really mind driving for service, TBH.

Next week's email will include more news and updates-- as well as the usual superfluous ramblings of a reclusive, nomad author that doesn't talk to people much.

BTW: The Slow River Valley books are still in the idea phase and I'd love to hear your suggestions for favorite tropes you might like to see in the series!
