Slow River Valley Ranches update: there is no update.

Ranger O'Leary and I getting along just fine, thank you. Ranger and Serenity are getting along just fine. Serenity and Ranger's entire family are getting along all too well for Ranger's liking and Serenity's comfort...because this is one of them fake dating/relationship of convenience stories and everybody knows better than to get attached.

What I don't have is a completed manuscript, or a proper blurb, or an on-time release date.

But the cover finally got an approval!

Seriously, the covers for the series took way too much brain power from me before I finally got something I was happy with. It's a far cry from the idea I started with, but we all finally agreed on something.

("We all" being me, the graphic artist, and the three friends who usually get assaulted with my cover design ideas right before I tell them they're all wrong because they picked a different one than I liked.)

And that's about all the news I have this week regarding the work in progress, and the characters currently wreaking havoc within it.

I better get back to them before they wreck the place.

I'm thrilled to say that the whole root canal business is over and I'm finally back on the road to where ever the road takes me next.

Still not sure where that's going to be, but for right now, it's going to be right the heck here where I am because I have great cell signal and because the obnoxious adult voice in the back of my head says, "You can move when you finish this book, young lady!"

Which sounds suspiciously like my mother telling me I could go play after I finished my homework.

Good thing my "homework" is a lot more fun these days!
