If you're up-to-date on the Moonshine Ridge Mountain Men, you've already read the blurb for Hurricane Hart's book-- which is still in progress and I'll give you an update on that in a minute.

I figure it's pretty clear from the blurb that Cane's book features the secret baby trope pretty heavily, so I'm not really offering any spoilers here.

Before I got started on Cane and Junie's book and had a clear idea of their story, I kept having this little scene pop into my head as seen through Mable's eyes.

It wouldn't leave me alone and I ended up writing it out before I'd finished Zephyr and Augustus. I knew I'd offer it up for you as a little bonus scene, I just wasn't sure if it should be read before Cane and June's story or after.

I decided it doesn't give away anything you don't already know by now and it is, essentially, what happens right before Cane and June's book opens-- so here you go:

Mind you, Secrets won't be available till June 19. So this is bit of a tease. But it doesn't contain any big plot spoilers and it also doesn't leave you on any sort of cliffhanger...well...actual spoiler alert: Cane and June are going to work things out. So, there. See? No cliffhanger.

The update I mentioned: Cane and June are busy figuring out how they're going to work things out.

Their book is progressing a little slower than I'd hoped, but is still on schedule for that June 19 release and (crossed fingers) should be available for pre-order next week.
