13 Years Ago, Google Put Me on the Block

Count down to Black Friday

13 years ago today, I wasn’t just another guy hustling sales and marketing. Nah—Google tapped me on the shoulder and said, “Come hang out in New York.” Not just a building, not just an office—Google owns the whole block. That’s how they do it. A block. Like Monopoly money but with better Wi-Fi.

And to make it even crazier, I got to learn directly from Seth Godin. You know, the marketing Yoda—except instead of a lightsaber, he’s got a purple cow.

You can even check me out at 1:27 in the Google video from that day, asking Seth a marketing question. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MN-DRF115H4

For most people, sales and marketing is just a job. A thing you clock in and out of. But for me? It’s like oxygen. It’s part of who I am. You can’t unplug this.

So today I’m raising a glass (ok, maybe a coffee) to 13 years of being a Google Partner, 13 years of lessons from the greats, and 13 years of proving this ain’t just a career—it’s my DNA.

Appreciate you being on the ride with me. The best is still ahead.
