On the 87th episode of the Adulthood:Revisited podcast, I have a conversation with Sherene Strausberg, founder and creator of 87th Street Creative, where she helps businesses connect more clearly with their audiences by creating engaging and entertaining animation and graphics.
In our conversation, Sherene shares her journey, pursuing a career in film scoring out on the West Coast. It landed her a position with NPR handling much of their sound production. When life brought her back to the East Coast with some new priorities (like family), she wanted to have a career that supported her lifestyle.
She pivoted from sound design to visual design, and started helping businesses with graphic design. From there, she's gone on to broaden her offering to include motion design and animation.
On the episode, Sherene gives us her insight as to why animation and motion design is so powerful for businesses. She also shares how she thinks businesses can get more from animation that they do incorporate (hint hint: less is more).
