Hello!
This newsletter is arriving a little later than usual today because I've been doing quite a bit of traveling!
This past weekend, I made my way back to Arkansas for the final weekend of the Arkansas Renaissance Festival. Despite a bit of a hiccup with my booth placement on the first day, everything worked out in the end, and the festival wrapped up with a bang!
Sunday evening, I hit the road for home, making it about halfway before stopping in Tupelo for a whopping three and a half hours of sleep. (Who needs a full night's rest anyway?) Then it was back behind the wheel to finish the last 4 hours of the drive.
Once I finally made it home, there was no time to relax. I unloaded all the books from the car, swapped them out for suitcases, and immediately turned around to head to Disney World for a short trip to celebrate my wife's birthday!
We brought our two oldest grandkids along for the adventure and arrived in the early evening. After grabbing some dinner, we took the little ones to the arcade to burn off some of that seemingly endless energy. Seriously, where do kids get it all?
On Tuesday, we spent a little time at the pool before heading over to Magic Kingdom for a few rides and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. We had an absolute blast! The Halloween festivities were a lot of fun, and let me tell you, the Disney cast members were NOT stingy with the candy. They were handing it out like they were personally determined to send every child home with a year's supply of sugar.
