Hello!

I'm in Lexington Kentucky today for Lexington Comic Con! If you live in the area, I hope you'll come check it out. I'll be at booth 715 with 2 of my author friends: Ben Meeks who writes about a wereotter that hunts demons in north GA (among other things), and Alfred Muller who writes a series that's akin to supernatural, but the focus is angels and demons.

Last weekend, I was in Marietta for an outdoor show, and it was fantastic. I sold a lot of books, and even met someone from my newsletter in person. It was a great time!

In my last newsletter, I mentioned I was at Con Nooga. It was fun, and I got to meet and panel with James Hunter (author of the Viridian Gate series). He's far more prolific than I am, and I invited him to join me and several other authors for dinner on Saturday night. He was happy to come with us, and not only did he offer loads of great information, he also sneakily paid the check for everyone at the table. He's a genuinely great guy, and I hope if you haven't checked out his books, you'll do so.

In writing news, I've finished the first "arc" of my new book, and I've begun writing the second this week. While working on that, I got an idea for a new series (this is a constant problem as an author), and I wrote the first chapter of that one. Think Redwall, but with magic!

I've been contemplating a LitRPG/Gamelit pirate series for a couple of years now, but I wasn't sure about a few things, so while speaking with James at Con Nooga, I told him my idea and asked for his advice. He helped me understand the underlying reason people love LitRPG so much, and it wasn't the reasons I originally thought. Now that I'm equipped with his wisdom, I know exactly what I need to do with this idea.

As with most things, my limitation is my time, ha! I have more ideas than I think I'll ever be able to write about, but I'm going to get as many of them written as I possibly can.

I added a new show to my appearances page, which is GalaxyCon Richmond, so I'll be in Virginia at the end of this month. I was on their waiting list and got approved last Friday. This year is shaping up to be my biggest yet in terms of the various states I'll be traveling to. Exciting stuff!

The Kickstarter for my newest deluxe edition hardcover went live on Tuesday, and it funded within 10 MINUTES! How amazing is that? It runs until March 26, so you've got time to get in on the fun. You can check it out below.

You'll also find a free ebook promo featuring over 60 books, including a band new short story set in my Galactic Mercenaries universe. It's a prequel story that shows what happened right before the start of book 1.

What I’m reading: I've been a bit busy lately with events and writing, so reading time has vanished again.

What I’m watching: I rewatched Rebel Moon Part 1 the other night, although I was working on author admin tasks, so it was more like I was partially aware of it while working, ha! It's a fun movie.

What are you reading/watching?

As always, a huge thank you for the support!

Richard
