It's been what feels like a very long few days and I've been struggling. Struggling to find the right words to say. Thinking that I don't want to put my foot in my mouth and offend, but watching my social feed over the weekend I've discovered the black community wants to see white people start to speak up. For most of the time, I've kept quiet and now I see that be silent is a showing of agreement.

I know I have a lot to unlearn and I can't even begin to understand living with the struggles and challenges that blacks and other minorities live with. I've decided it's time to stop being silent, talking about the hard and uncomfortable things that need to be talked about. I can't promise to do it all right, but I'm here to learn, grow and develop, it's time I use my privilege to help those who fight everyday to survive.
