About 18 months ago I came across a book titled, Own Your Weird written by Jason Zook. The book immediately caught my attention just because of the name. I'm a firm believer in owning your weird.

You see as a natural red-head growing up where I grew up, my red hair made me an oddball and different. It's amazing what kids will pickup on and decide are the things worth picking on. I came out of it okay though, because my grandmother was a strong independent personality and taught me to embrace what makes me different and unique.

It's how you can make an impact in the world.

Back to owning your weird, when I discovered this book I consumed it in a few short days. It's quick read and while I didn't necessarily discover anything too enlightening, it did confirm that Jason was my kind of people.
