May the Fourth be with you

Hello ,

April is over, and with it is my ability to start a pile of new projects. I ended the month with six new projects, and the knowledge that this was a very bad idea, and I should not ever do it again.

Considering stepping into the world of fairytales

On the other hand, I really want to write the MMORPG princess (fairytale retelling) idea I started. So that could be a thing. Tons of secret identity shenanigans with computer games.

So far I have plotlines for Cinderella (easy), Mulan, Red Riding Hood, The Goose Girl and Sleeping Beauty. I'm considering Snow White but not 100% sure I can make it work. What other fairy tales do you think would work well in a computer game?

The story so far:

So this is something that's been coming up on my facebook feed, and after looking at it and going "Yeah, I wish more authors did this" I came to the realization that I was an author. And I should be doing this.

So... Coming soon: I will be updating the beginning of books 2 and 3 with a short summary of the previous books, to remind you of the relevant points before you dive in.

Otherwise, happy Star Wars Day (if you celebrate it), or the start of the Summer* Reading Challenge (the one I'm in starts May). Until next time!!

-Ren, Author who will be trying to read through my TBR this 'summer'*

*It's winter challenge over here :P

Books you should check out:

Don't Fade Away

For Elle, haunting a share house comes with a unique set of challenges. Living tenants come and go, leaving her with nothing to fill her days except a crush on longstanding housemate, Dean, who literally doesn’t know she exists. Talk about unrequited love.

Just as she despairs at being stuck halfway to the other side for the rest of her afterlife, the newest resident sparks hope for something more than the humdrum of everyday death.

Keymaster Origins (Free)

Soul Gatherers, quondams, Chinese demons, celestial beings... Sounds like your average night for KeyMaster Michael Nicolas and his Færie Ashayla.

Despite battling his own demons, when his friend, Anatole, is in trouble, Michael doesn't hesitate to help. But he gets more than he bargained for when he's thrown in the middle of a case of Truth or Dare gone wrong. Terribly wrong. The kind of wrong when a Chinese huapi demon rampages through London on a killing spree. Thank goodness the nine tail Kumiho Jade Fox can help, but can she be trusted?

Keys of Time

No one can escape the call of Time

Erica Shylocke is your average University student, in debt and chasing deadlines. She also has a secret—a curse. One she’s kept hidden her entire life. She was doing a damn good job too, until she was attacked by a Lost Soul, a creature hell-bent on consuming her most valuable commodity: her soul.
