Hello,
So I am not a linear writer. I used to be. Start at the start, and go until you hit the end. Now my philosophy is more "write what you want to write and the rest will sort itself out." Great for the word count, not so great for the ability to finish books and market them.
I have a problem in every series with book 2. I don't know why, but of the five series I am actively (okay, four are active, one I kid myself believing I'll work on eventually), not one of them has a finished book 2. In four of them book 1 is complete. In three of them book 3 is very almost done. One of them I'm currently writing book 11 (and a few chapters of book 12). Book two though (in everything) - Nada.
All of this is my very roundabout way of saying that Book 1 is off to the beta readers now, and book 2 is.... going.
So I spent my week starting a new series!
Moving on.
Quickly!

Some of you may remember that this email I was going to pass along the second prequel of my novel series, this time focusing on the hoverboard hero and how they came to join the heroes.
Key words here "Was going to."
Long story short, while the writing portions are otherwise done, the cover art is... Not. Unfortunately the company I commissioned is Ukrainian and they have bigger problems than me at the moment, and I'm not going to even consider complaining. If the worst thing that happens to me this week is that my free prequel is delayed, I'll take that happily.
But, since I promised: For those of you who don't care about pretty covers, I've attached the text of it below. For the rest of you who like books to look book-like, I'm hoping soon, but I really have no idea.
I've attached a link below. Please be aware, this is PURELY TEXT AT THIS POINT. I haven't bothered with much of the post-book stuff as that would require me having a link to ask people to leave reviews at or even a working website - eventually.
Giveaways and group promos:
This time, I've got two promos for you. One is the Fantasy/Paranormal Exclusive Freebies! I probably shouldn't advertise other people's prequel/shorts too much, but there's one in there called "Gods and Mortals" that deals with retellings of myths and deities of different old-school religions. I'm a sucker for retelling of myths. Anyone else?
The other is the Too Good Too Miss Urban Fantasy. There's some crossover in the stories offered between the two, but honestly, enough reading to keep you (or me) going for a while.
Thanks for joining me again to listen to all the stuff* I didn't bother getting done since my last newsletter. For those who end up reading the new prequel, I do hope Tia isn't too strange for you. I like her (and her napkin).
Goodbye for now

*Yes, the word I intended there was not stuff. I am Australian and we swear a lot.
A 'stuff'ing lot.
