So what if I called you a loser, what would you do? How about a daft cow would that hurt your feelings? Why does it appear that some words can hurt you while others don't?
The answer to that is actually simple.
It depends if you take what is said personally. Some folks may think they are a loser and so that putdown becomes an observation and might sting but a daft cow is kind of humorous. So they may laugh at that name. You see when a word or set of words "hurt" That is not that that word actually has any more power than any other word. It's just you agree with it on some small part.
The hurtful word only hurts if you take it personally. many times people say words hoping that they will be able to drive you away or inflict some feeling in you. Yet you have a choice to react or respond.
You always have a choice.
Do you want the word to hurt or do you want it just bounce off? Remember to think before you act. Change your thoughts and you change your results.
