The doors were opened and they went inside. They passed through a short hallway and into a sort of ballroom. The scent of human blood was everywhere. Rogue turned to glare at him but a new voice distracted him. “No need to be so harsh, Julian.”
Unable to place the accent, which was somewhere between Spanish and French with some other element mixed in, he peered into the shadows before him.
A man—a vampire—seemed to materialize out of the darkness as if he were a ghost.
That silent. That utterly graceful.
