As Christians we are blessed with certainty. There are truths that we know. Truths that are certain. Paul, throughout the book of Romans, reminds us of truths that we can know. Here in Chapter 6 he refers to the act of our Baptism as that event that displays the spiritual truths of death and life. Our baptism visibly portrays our death to sin and its bondage. Conversely, it also gloriously portrays our future resurrection life.

Many times, we can act like the truths of our baptism are distant or nonexistent. We need continual reminders of Whose we are and With whom we identify. We are sons and daughters of God and we are set free. Our union with Jesus through our faith is so beautifully captured in our baptism. Revel today in Whose you are. You are God’s, and He is yours.
