October Qigong at the Markets
Oct 11, 2024 11:47 pm
Hi ! I'll start by sharing an apology for last week's Qigong at the Market. I had a small emergency at home that forced me to cancel both market sessions I had booked at both the Ottawa Farmer's Market on Main Street, and at the Ottawa Street Market in Alta Vista. One wet basement and a few boxes of damp, but thankfully salvageable memories later, and I'm back in action for qigong this October.
Tomorrow, October 12th is the last day for qigong at the Alta Vista Market until the spring. I'll also offer qigong at the Main Street Market until the end of October when the Main Street Market wraps up for the season.
You're welcome to drop in to either qigong at the market session. If you'd like something added to your virtual calendar, click on the button below. Please take note of the date, time and location that you select.
Qigong at the Main Street Farmer's Market - 9:30am to 10am
Main Street Farmer's Market at Grande Allée Park, 185 Main St
Qigong at the Alta Vista Farmer's Market - 11am to 11:30am
Alta Vista Farmer's Market at St. Thomas the Apostle Anglican Church, 2345 Alta Vista Dr
☔Rain policy: If it's raining, make yourself a cup of tea and curl up, or get your shopping done at the market without having to worry about getting your feet wet on the grass.
What's coming next?:
I am actively looking for space to hold winter weekly qigong. I have recently started a new job that brings the office closer to home, and with that a whole new opportunity to start my mornings with qigong. I have my eye on a couple of parks in Old Ottawa East and in the Glebe to hold morning qigong at on weekends and in the mornings before the workday begins. As the weather gets colder, I'm looking to connect with art galleries and community spaces to continue offering weekly qigong through the winter.
As always, I want to work with you to find a movement practice that you enjoy, and that can be with you through all walks of life. I am non-diet focused, use neutral and inclusive language, adapting gendered language to meet everyone where they are. All bodies are welcome, all bodies can move. Your body and mind are so lovely and powerful. I think you are beautiful and important.
Follow me on Instagram for the most recent updates, including cancellations and weather updates. I share generously there, and send summative, or session-specific updates through my email newsletter. Upcoming opportunities for Qigong will be both virtual and in person.
Until next time,
