Hi
Christmas is soon here which means you might have Xmas shopping to do, pulling down the house, spending more money that you expected to, planning family lunches, decorating the house and more. My sister already asked me to go Christmas shopping with her, so it begins.
If you skip Christmas, then you might not have as much stress. Before you dive into this chaos, I just want you to remember that you have the power to keep calm and not lose your marbles. This can be extra challenging if you are experiences symptoms like anxiety and rage. Woosah!!!
Here are a few things to put in your toolkit to help you:
- Still focus on nourishing your body. You might be in the mindset that you will just fix it in January. We all know how that goes but if you decide to fix it in January, just giving you heads up that I will be launching a 12 week programme. If you want to prepare prior to the Christmas season, you can also join the Nourish! Perimenopause Meal Planning Workshop where I will be covering in more detail about dealing with the holidays. You can register here. https://form.jotform.com/240035159760857
- Protect your peace. There is power in say "NO". Saying no to people that expect you to do everything and also saying no to yourself when you try to justify biting off more than you can chew. You can also delegate tasks as well. You do not have to be the chief cook and bottle washer.
- Ask people what they want. It can be overwhelming and draining trying to figure out what to get someone for Christmas. You can simply ask.
- Take time to deep breathe. When you are feeling overwhelmed, just pause and breathe. Inhale for the count of 4 and exhale for the count of 4. Try it and see.
That's it for now. If someone ask you what do you want for Christmas, I have some ideas. And yes, I will be giving options to improve your wellness. That will come in another post.
Freedom, Happiness, Balance
Renee
