That's what millions of women are told almost every single day when they talk to doctors or even worst, OB/GYNS. They are passed off from doctor to doctor trying to figure out what the issue is, just to be told the same thing "It's all in your head". Some of these women have confided in me when they felt like no one else would listen. My goal is ALWAYS to listen then see how best I can help.
Have you ever experienced the "It's all in your head" vibe? If not congrats to you and keep that doctor as part of your wellness team.
I have had my personal experience with "It's all in your head" kinda vibe. It was more like, certain questions weren't asked and was told that I would either need to take birth control pill or take painkillers for a long time. Luckily I didn't fall into that trap because of the work I do in women's health but unfortunately others fall. Hence why I have a bigger urge to educate and help as many women as possible.
I just felt to share this because as we start the transition from pre-menopause to perimenopause (the phase when all of the physical and mental changes happens before the last 12 months of period cessation), things will pop up. This is the phase that we will need as much support as possible. I am in that phase too.
One thing I will say, know that there is help out there. So if at anytime you feel as though, you aren't being heard, drop me an email to ask a question. If I don't have the answer, I will find someone who can help you.
We will transition together.
Freedom, Happiness, Balance
