Halfway Through the Year: Where Are You Now?
May 31, 2026 10:16 pm
As we step into June, we find ourselves standing at an interesting point in the year, right in the middle. Six months have passed, and six still lie ahead. It is often around this time that we pause and look back at all we hoped this year would be.
Sometimes we realise we've achieved more than we gave ourselves credit for. Other times we notice plans that changed, dreams that shifted direction, or goals that quietly got pushed aside while life happened around us.
The middle of a journey can feel uncertain. We are no longer at the excitement of a new beginning, but we have not yet reached the finish line either. Yet there is something beautiful about the middle: it reminds us that there is still time.
A Moment to Reflect
Take a few quiet minutes this month and ask yourself:
• What has surprised me this year?
• What am I grateful for right now?
• What am I still hoping for?
The answers do not have to be perfect. They do not need to be life-changing. Sometimes the smallest answers are the most meaningful.
Maybe you are grateful for family, a new opportunity, a lesson learned, or simply getting through difficult days stronger than you expected.
The Rest of the Story Has Not Been Written Yet
We can sometimes look at unfinished goals and immediately see failure. But unfinished does not mean impossible, and delayed does not mean forgotten.
June can be a reminder that we do not need to start over completely, perhaps we simply need to begin again where we are.
There is still time to try something new. There is still time to grow. There is still time for unexpected joy, new opportunities, and moments that change everything.
A Thought to Carry Into This Month
"You do not need to have everything figured out to keep moving forward."
Wishing you a month filled with warmth, hope, and small moments worth remembering.
Until next time,
