The Body Knows: Listening to Your Health

Dear Friend,
So often, we’re taught to push through pain, ignore discomfort, and keep going no matter what. But I’ve learned, especially after surgery and during recovery that healing doesn’t come through force. It begins with listening.
Our bodies are wise. When they ache, tighten, slow down, or feel exhausted, they’re not betraying us, they’re asking for kindness.
Gentle Reminders for Restoration:
- Fatigue is a signal, not a flaw.
- Rest is holy, not a reward, but a need.
- Small pauses throughout the day can be powerful.
During my own journey, I had to unlearn the habit of ignoring warning signs. I started asking: “What does my body need right now?” The answers were simple but life-changing, water, stillness, a prayer, a nap, a gentle walk.
Scripture to Hold On To:
"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit... You are not your own; you were bought at a price."
– 1 Corinthians 6:19–20
Your body is not broken. It is beloved. Listen to it with grace and treat it with the care God designed it to receive.
With compassion and quiet strength,
Natania
