A New Year, A New Invitation

Stepping Into a New Year

A new year always arrives quietly. Not with all the answers but with fresh mercy. As we step into this new season, we do so carrying stories from the year behind us: lessons learned, prayers whispered, and strength we didn’t know we had.

Wherever you find yourself today, know this, God is already here, waiting to walk with you into what’s next.

Still Invited

In “Van Ongenooi na Ingenooi,” we are reminded of a powerful truth: God’s invitation over your life does not depend on your past, your perfection, or your performance.

You are invited into grace.

Invited into growth.

Invited into peace.

Even if the year behind you was heavy, the year ahead is still filled with possibility.

A Gentle Way Forward

As this new year begins, I want to encourage you to move forward gently:

  • Take one step at a time
  • Celebrate progress, not perfection
  • Make space for rest
  • Trust God with what you cannot control

You don’t have to rush into becoming. God is not in a hurry with you.

A Blessing for the Year Ahead

May this year be one where hope rises again.

May your heart find renewed courage.

May you recognise God’s invitations, sometimes quiet, always faithful.

Here’s to a new year filled with grace, purpose, and peace.

With love,

Natania Smit
