Hey, enablers!

Remember when I asked you if I should ignore temptation, or give in?

Well, y'all are a bad influence.

That's right--I gave in!

I am going to spend Sundays on this very strange project that I love so much. Thank you for giving me permission to dive into it, and hopefully I'll have more to share soon.

I also appreciated your words of support over the past couple weeks while I've been a little glum. If I haven't responded to your email yet, I will soon, but know that I read and cherish each and every one as I receive them.

We're smack dab between the release of As the Tallgrass Grows, which was about a month ago, and the release of Night & Day, which is about a month away. That means I'm trying to strike a balance between spreading the word about these books while writing the next ones.

If publishing were a school and marketing was a class, I think I'd get a C minus.

By the way... you could totally pre-order Night & Day. If you haven't yet. And, you know, if you feel like it. Ahem...

What I'm reading

I've been reading and adoring Turnabout by Laurel Greer. It's a second chance m/m romance in the Vino and Veritas series, and the story is beautifully written. The sexual tension between the characters and their shared history are incredible, and its setting is so vividly drawn, it's making me want to drop everything in my life to buy a printing press.

What I'm writing

I'm back to working on three projects. I've got the secret one, When the River Rises, and the strange one that's all your fault.

Cross your fingers for me! I usually work best when I am focused on one thing at a time, and yet the variety is helping me in that when I get tangled up by a problem with one project, my subconscious can work through that snarl while I work on something else.

Hear me read!

I'm participating in a live reading this Saturday, February 26 at 4 p.m. eastern time. The reading will be on Zoom, and I'll be reading alongside Duckie Mack and Harmke Burrsam. I think it's going to be a lot of fun. It is free to attend and there will be an opportunity to ask us authors any questions you might have. You just have to join the host Facebook group and then RSVP to the event and you'll get the link to join.
