Read Chapter 4 of Undertow

Hi, there!
I hope you've been reading good books, enjoying your pets, taking walks, or whatever else brings you happiness. I have definitely been fortunate to have done all of those things this week. The weather where I live has been incredible, me and mine are in good health, and I've had writing time. That's the closest thing to bliss for me, and I'm enjoying it while it lasts!
What I'm Writing
This week I joined a group of authors in a "50k in 5 Days" writing challenge. That means I've been writing at roughly four times my usual speed, which is both 1) exhausting and 2) remarkably productive! The main project I'm working on right now, and thus the one that I'm writing for 4/5 days of the challenge, is an MM contemporary western romance I've mentioned before. Now that I'm a little deeper into it, I'm pretty confident the characters' story will span two books. The first one should be available around January 1, 2021.
This week, I also decided to make A Time for Roses my project for National Novel Writing Month in November. "NaNoWriMo" is a big, friendly, worldwide challenge for writers. If you enjoy writing and you've never heard of "NaNo," you should check it out. If you're already planning to write for NaNo, I'd love to hear what project you'll be working on!
Finally, I have, of course, been working on Undertow! The past few weeks, I wrote one chapter per week to make the weekly deadline that is this newsletter. But this week, I actually wrote three! There's a little more about that below.
What I'm Reading
This week I read another book in Neve Wilder's catalogue, which I've been happily working through. Try Me was full of all the new adult goodness I enjoy, and I recommend it to anyone who likes reading characters trying to figure out life and love -- and sexuality! Try Me is the second in the Extracurricular Activities series, but having read them both, I am confident in saying that it stands alone and you could read them in any order. Want Me, book one in the series, is also great, though I preferred Try Me, which included more character development and a little more angst.
Chapter Four of Undertow
I wrote chapters four through six of Undertow this week as part of the writing challenge I mentioned above! I'm getting really immersed in the plot and world and enjoying each chapter more than the last. Hopefully you feel the same way. :) In this week's episode, Zo engages in some slight abuses of his collar-related powers, and Aron is not impressed.
