How do you feel about bodyguards?

I, for one, feel VERY good about bodyguards.

Hey, favorite ones! It's 2022!
How did that happen?!
The last couple of years, I haven't done the traditional January goal-setting, but this year I have been thinking of getting back to it. That being said, I saw a line from someone the other day, something along the lines of "Instead of resolutions, make reflections."
That concept really resonates with me.
Reflecting on any given year is kind of a mixed bag, to be honest. On the one hand, I published some books and met readers, a lifelong dream, so there's plenty about 2021 that makes me proud.
Then there's the other stuff. The mistakes; the missteps; the conversations I wish I could take back or do over.
Maybe I'll come up with my own January advice: first make reflections, then make resolutions.
Do you have any resolutions or reflections to share?
What I'm reading
I've been having a wonderful reading week. I thoroughly enjoyed The Charm Offensive, and so did my cat. Now I'm reading Charles by Con Riley, which has been recommended to me constantly since its release. And I can see why!
What I'm writing
I have begun writing the next Wild Ones book--When the River Rises. I don't want to go into too much detail because even calling the characters by name might be a small plot spoiler for As the Tallgrass Grows. (Don't forget, you can pre-order As the Tallgrass Grows over on Amazon, and you'll be the first to get it on release day, January 28.)
If you really want to go behind the scenes in River, I'd love to add you to an inner circle of readers who will get exclusive updates about the project and provide input as I write. In exchange, you can offer me some accountability...and moral support! If that sounds fun, click below. (But if you do, you will get even more email from me. 😅)
I'm also working on a secret project that I cannot wait to tell you about. Hopefully there will be more details soon.
Remember the last time I was working on a secret project? That novella, Three Lessons, is now available through Your Book Boyfriend's Boyfriend, an event you can learn more about here.

Rachel
